Did you know that I’m a teacher by day? I am! You can read more about how I spend my days here, but the gist of it is that I’m 26 year-old who teaches high school students, so I have to put a bit of thought into my teacher style. I’m young and (as you can tell) am not exactly tall.
When I first started teaching I dressed way more professional than I do now: blazers, pencil skirts, the whole she-bang. But ultimately it wasn’t really “me” and I think my students could sense that too. I’ve done quite a bit of tweaking but have finally settled on dressed-up, yet casual vibe that I rock pretty much every day. I’m still dressed up more than a lot of the teachers in my building, but I feel like myself!
I snagged this little red dress from Old Navy (similar here) toward the end of the fall season and wear it a little more often than I should! The embroidery details are so sweet and make it look unique. Plus, it’s red. Who doesn’t love that?
My necklace is a goodie I scored from Kendra Scott. Their fall collection was to-die-for this year. And this little bolo necklace isn’t your typical “Kendra” look, which I love. I wear this thing all the time.
My teacher bag of choice is the Transport Tote from MadeWell. Girl, I cannot recommend this bag more highly. I’ve been carrying mine for over two years and still love it just as much as the day I bought it (and get just as many compliments). You can throw anything in it, and it’s versatile enough to carry around with almost any outfit. If you’re in the market for a bag, pick this one!
Plus a few giggles. This dress makes me happy.
