Product Review: An All-Natural Shampoo I DON’T Hate??

The last time I tried an “all-natural” shampoo, the kind with zero sulfates and no parabens, I could barely get it rinsed out of my hair. It felt like trying to wash my thick, wavy hair with mildly soapy water.

I swear, my hair was dirtier coming out of the shower than it was on the way in.

So when my new friends at Maple Holistics got in touch with me about trying some of their all-natural beauty products last month, I was wary.

I’m committed to only recommending products on my blog when I TRULY like them, regardless of whether it was given to me free, or if I’m compensated to talk about it.

But after doing a little research on the company and reading product reviews, my curiosity was piqued. MH was kind enough to send me a bottle of their Tea Tree Oil Shampoo┬áto try. You probably have heard that tea tree oil is a common ingredient in clarifying shampoos. Speaking of which…

Let’s talk about clarifying shampoo for a minute.

This is a super, super important tool to have in your haircare arsenal. Product buildup is real and causes dry, itchy scalp or less manageable hair. Since I use texture powder, dry shampoo, and hairspray on a daily basis, I use a clarifying shampoo once a week to make sure it’s all out of there. Clarifying shampoo gets out the film from drugstore-quality products as well.

My point is, you need it– And I’d wholeheartedly recommend this one!

It lathers extremely well, which is probably my favorite thing about this product. Like I mentioned before, the last time I tried an all-natural type shampoo it was impossible to work through my hair and even harder to rinse out. This tea tree oil shampoo lathered well and rinsed out just like my usual Bumble & Bumble stuff.

It also left my hair feeling extremely clean and soft, not “stripped” like a stronger clarifying shampoos can feel. I don’t have issues with dry scalp, really, but I suspect that this would be a great product for you if you do. Given the tea tree oil and how soft it made my hair feel, I’m thinking you’d be in good shape.

Not to mention, you can feel good about the ingredients. No harsh chemicals + GMO, paraben, gluten, and sulfate free. They even have a super cool free sample program, so you can try any of their products risk free. I haven’t seen a program quite theirs before– it’s a great deal!

MH’s Tea Tree Oil Shampoo is a great price already at about $25, but it’s on sale right now for $8.95 so there’s no reason not to give it a try! Especially if you don’t currently have a clarifying shampoo that you love.

I’ll be using this stuff once a week for the foreseeable future, and that’s a promise.

Disclosure: Maple Holistics has provided me with their product at no charge. All opinions are my own.

  1. I couldn’t wait to give this one a try. I have tried tons of shampoos but ended up disappointed because some leaves my hair itchy, dry and frizzy. Where is their store located? Do they offer deliveries?

  2. I am a service holder, so I have no time to take care of my hair. For this reason, I lose my hair’s longevity and strength. After studying your content, I started to follow all your instruction by using tea tree oil shampoo, which is beneficial for making my hair soft. Thanks!
